Afternoon paddle: Meet at 1:30pm in Croom Town Park, be briefed on what to expect and get bused to Cherrygrove Bridge. On the water for 2pm, off the water around 4:30pm.
- Biosecurity: Crayfish plague – a water-borne fungal spore disease – is present in the Maigue River. It is not harmful to humans but it is deadly to our native crayfish. To prevent spreading the disease to other watercourses, we ask all participants to check, clean and 100% dry all your gear immediately after the trip. The plague’s fungal spores need water to survive, by 100% drying out your gear you kill the spores.
The cost per person is €22.20 (€20+ 2.20 booking fee)
The overall cost of this event is being subsidised thanks to funding from the European Green Leaf Project and Limerick City and County Council.
